VFS Global has unveiled the world’s largest visa application centre in Dubai’s Wafi City, reinforcing the emirate’s position as a global hub for mobility, innovation, and international access.
Inaugurated by senior Dubai officials and VFS Global’s leadership, the 150,000-square-foot facility is equipped to process up to 10,000 visa applications per day. It is supported by a team of more than 400 professionals representing over 25 nationalities.
Helal Saeed Almarri, Director-General of Dubai’s Department of Economy and Tourism, described the opening as a strategic step aligned with the goals of the Dubai Economic Agenda D33.
“Visa facilitation is a key enabler of talent attraction, tourism development, and international partnerships,”
he said.
Mohammed Ahmed Al Marri, Director-General of the General Directorate of Identity and Foreigners Affairs – Dubai, called the centre a “milestone in the journey of excellence,” reflecting Dubai’s continued drive to deliver efficient, smart government services.
Zubin Karkaria, Founder and CEO of VFS Global Group, highlighted the UAE’s transformation over the past two decades, noting the centre’s launch as a testament to Dubai’s status as a leading business and innovation hub.
The new centre will serve visa applicants from over 200 nationalities and marks a significant step in VFS Global’s commitment to supporting secure global mobility for governments and citizens.
