Vivo launches latest 5G phone featuring high-end cameras
Chinese smartphone vendor Vivo is upping its ante in the video production era with its latest flagship model X60 Pro Plus, which is powered by the US chip giant Qualcomm Inc's Snapdragon 888 chip.
The model comes as consumers increasingly use smartphones to shoot short videos as a way of expressing themselves and there is a growing demand for quality cameras.
Priced from 4,998 yuan ($773.70) in China, Vivo X60 Pro Plus is also part of a broader push by the company to expand its presence in the high-end smartphone segment.
Vivo said thanks in part to the Snapdragon 888 chipset, X60 Pro Plus has a big improvement in video and photography performances, artificial intelligence processing capabilities as well as gaming experience for consumers
X60 Pro Plus boasts optics from Zeiss, a German manufacturer of optical systems and opto-electronics. The new smartphone comes shortly after Vivo announced its long-term partnership with Zeiss, to jointly promote and develop breakthrough innovations in mobile imaging technology.
