The Emirates News Agency (WAM) has signed a cooperation agreement with the Dubai Racing Club (DRC) to enhance the bilateral cooperation between the two entities and benefit from a wide-spread experience of WAM locally and internationally.
The agreement was signed by Mohammed Jalal Al Rayssi, Director-General of WAM, and Major General Mohammed Essa Al Adhab, Board Member and Director General of DRC, and Dubai Equestrian Club.
The agreement stipulates that WAM will cover the club’s activities and events and broadcast its news, with a focus on international audience, starting with the Dubai World Cup, which will take place on 26th of March 2022 at Meydan Racecourse.
Mohammed Essa Al Adhab expressed his happiness at signing the agreement, which will support spreading the news about the club and its various activities and events.
"This strategic cooperation will help us benefit from WAM's wide expertise and capabilities, especially when covering the activities of the Dubai Racing Club, the most important of which is the Dubai World Cup through which we want to send a many messages to the world and highlight the capabilities of the UAE in organising mega sports events,"
"The Dubai World Cup is the beginning of our cooperation, and we will witness more agreements signed with WAM to advertise other major events and activities,"
Mohammed Jalal Al Rayssi expressed the agency's keenness to provide its services and support to all national institutions through a distinguished and professional team that can reflect a vivid, accurate and bright image of the UAE.
"The UAE has an international reputation of being at the forefront of delivering a positive image of the UAE presence in any sector it may represent. Therefore, it is easy for the Emirates News Agency to spread its word internationally,"
"We are very happy to sign this cooperation agreement with the Dubai Racing Club, which is an important step for us to deliver a message of great content that showcases our heritage sport that was endorsed by the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan and at the same time receives the attention of the entire world. Therefore, we as a media agency should give it the coverage it deserves through our platform of 19 different languages,"
The cooperation agreement with the Dubai Racing Club is one of a series of agreements signed by WAM, and there are more to come to highlight the image of the UAE and spread the word about its various activities inside the country and abroad, he added.
Al Rayssi concluded,

The signing ceremony was also attended by in Abdullah Abdulkareem, WAM's Executive Director of News Content Sector; Hamad Al Shamsi, Deputy General Manager of Dubai Racing Club; and Faisal Barout, Director of the Central Editorial Department at WAM.
