WETEX 2024 Concludes with 44 Expert-Led Seminars on Day Three
The 26th Water, Energy, Technology, and Environment Exhibition (WETEX) wrapped up its final day on October 3, 2024, at the Dubai World Trade Centre, hosting 44 specialised seminars and discussion panels.
Organised by the Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA), WETEX was held under the directives of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum and patronage of H.H. Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum.
Day Three featured a wealth of knowledge-sharing sessions, with a focus on clean energy, sustainability, and innovative technologies. DEWA led a seminar on ‘Utilities Trends and Innovation’, featuring insights from Digital DEWA, Moro Hub, and global tech giants like Dell Technologies and Intel. The seminar, moderated by CNBC Arabia’s Maisa Eid, highlighted cutting-edge solutions shaping the future of utilities.
Key seminars addressed emerging trends such as the electric vehicle revolution, AI integration in utilities, and environmental-friendly cables. The Future Energy Landscape Forum offered discussions on waste management innovations in the oil and gas sector, with Dragon Oil and other industry leaders presenting opportunities in waste transformation.
The Clean Energy Business Council MENA introduced topics on sustainable mobility and pathways to a carbon-neutral economy, while water-focused seminars explored solutions for providing drinking water to remote areas and advanced water treatment technologies.
Health and safety were also at the forefront, with sessions covering occupational safety, mental well-being, and UAE regulations in accident prevention.
The 26th edition of WETEX continues to serve as a global platform for advancing sustainable development and technological innovation across sectors.
