The 26th edition of the Water, Energy, Technology, and Environment Exhibition (WETEX), organized by the Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA), concluded on 3rd October at the Dubai World Trade Centre (DWTC), marking unprecedented success. The event attracted over 2,800 exhibitors from 65 countries, with 21 international pavilions.
WETEX 2024, held under the directives of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, and patronage of H.H. Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum, showcased Dubai’s leadership in clean and renewable energy, sustainability, and decarbonization.
Saeed Mohammed Al Tayer, MD & CEO of DEWA, hailed the event's success as a reflection of Dubai’s future-driven vision. He emphasized WETEX’s role in fostering global partnerships and innovation in sustainability sectors, contributing to Dubai’s Clean Energy Strategy 2050.
The event featured more than 130 specialized sessions on topics such as electric vehicles, green mobility, and climate strategies. A new Green Mobility Zone and Health and Safety Hub were also introduced to highlight innovation in transport and safety.
DEWA showcased its groundbreaking projects, including the Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Solar Park, which achieved two Guinness World Records. These initiatives align with Dubai’s goal of producing 100% clean energy by 2050.
WETEX continues to empower global companies and startups, facilitating collaboration and the exploration of cutting-edge sustainability technologies.
