The 26th Water, Energy, Technology and Environment Exhibition (WETEX) will feature a specialised hub focusing on the latest health and safety technologies and practices.

Organised by Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA) under the directives of HH Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the exhibition will be held from October 1-3, 2024, at the Dubai World Trade Centre. The hub aims to raise awareness among institutions and individuals about international health and safety standards for home and work environments.

The hub will include four sections: interactive workshops, seminars and panel discussions, children's safety, and competitions and games to test safety knowledge. Distinguished experts will discuss occupational safety, physical and mental health, and the latest trends and technologies in the field. The goal is to promote a culture of health and safety, enhance resilience against climate change impacts, and showcase successful safety strategies and initiatives.

HE Saeed Mohammed Al Tayer, MD & CEO of DEWA, emphasized the exhibition's alignment with the Dubai Social Agenda 33, the National Strategy for Wellbeing 2031, and the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) 2030, particularly focusing on Goal 3: Good Health and Well-being. Key participants, including Emirates Global Aluminium and Bureau Veritas, will share their expertise and innovative solutions in health and safety management.

The hub will also support companies in adopting best practices to ensure employee well-being. Registration for the event is available on the WETEX website.
