The 26th Water, Energy, Technology, and Environment Exhibition (WETEX) 2024 will highlight innovations in digital transformation, cybersecurity, and information system security, alongside sustainability, green buildings, smart grids, electric vehicles, and more.

Organised by Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA) under the directives of H.H. Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, WETEX will run from 1st to 3rd October at the Dubai World Trade Centre.

Saeed Mohammed Al Tayer, Managing Director and CEO of DEWA, emphasised WETEX’s significance, stating,

“After over 25 years, WETEX has become a premier platform to showcase cutting-edge technologies. The exhibition supports the UAE’s leading position in cybersecurity and aligns with the Dubai Cyber Security Strategy. It promotes a safer digital transformation, strengthening the readiness of organisations and individuals to tackle challenges from smart and digital technologies."

Al Tayer also noted that WETEX fosters innovation in cyberspace and addresses ESG practices while advancing Dubai’s role in cybersecurity. The UAE’s high ranking in the UN's Global Cybersecurity Index underlines its commitment to securing digital infrastructure and mitigating cyber threats in smart cities.

Key exhibitors include Siemens, presenting smart grid solutions; Hitachi Energy, contributing to the UAE’s Net Zero Initiative; SAP with AI-driven sustainability tools; and Larsen & Toubro, showcasing digital energy innovations. The exhibition will also feature advancements in AI governance, cyber risk management, and smart city infrastructure security.
