Dubai’s Water, Energy, Technology and Environment Exhibition (WETEX), organised by Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA), wrapped up on Thursday after three days of high-level discussions, innovation showcases and knowledge exchange focused on sustainability and clean technology.
The closing day featured 37 seminars led by local and international experts who examined emerging solutions across energy, water and environmental sectors. Topics ranged from electric vehicle infrastructure planning and renewable energy pathways to industrial efficiency, decarbonisation strategies and digitalisation in accelerating the energy transition.
Sessions also spotlighted innovations in water management, including smart quality control systems, energy-efficient wastewater treatment and advanced water technologies. On the technology front, experts discussed artificial intelligence in IT and safety, predictive solar panel maintenance, robotics, next-generation networks and novel recycling methods.
Health and safety were another focal point, with sessions exploring DEWA’s wellness initiatives, the role of occupational safety specialists and AI-driven solutions to improve construction site safety and empower workforces.
Interactive workshops and networking opportunities rounded off the exhibition, reinforcing collaboration between DEWA and its suppliers.
