Dubai is set to host the highly anticipated World Governments Summit (WGS) 2025 from February 11 to 13 under the theme "Shaping Future Governments."

The event will bring together over 30 heads of state and government, delegations from 140 countries, and representatives from 80 international organizations to discuss key global challenges and opportunities.

Mohammad Al Gergawi, Minister of Cabinet Affairs and Chairman of WGS, emphasized the summit's role in equipping governments to navigate rapid transformations.

"The Summit remains committed to fostering resilience and efficiency in governance to ensure sustainable progress for future generations,"

he stated.

The summit will feature an impressive lineup of world leaders and global experts. Heads of state including Prabowo Subianto (Indonesia), Andrzej Duda (Poland), and Anura Kumara Dissanayake (Sri Lanka) will deliver keynote addresses. Discussions will cover governance, economic alliances, and technology, with high-profile participants such as Klaus Schwab (World Economic Forum), Elon Musk, and Kristalina Georgieva (IMF). Sir Tony Blair and Larry Ellison will explore the role of technology in government operations, while UAE Minister Omar Sultan Al Olama will engage in a dialogue with Google CEO Sundar Pichai.

Key forums on the final day will include the Climate Change Forum, the World Health Forum, and the World Government Lawmaking Forum. These sessions will tackle pressing global concerns and foster international cooperation.

With its expanded agenda, WGS 2025 is poised to be a pivotal event shaping the future of governance, reinforcing Dubai’s position as a hub for global policy dialogue and innovation.
