WhatsApp introduces disappearing voice notes
View Once was introduced by WhatsApp for photos and videos in 2021, providing an extra layer of privacy to users' messages. The latest update now allows users to send voice messages that disappear after being listened to.
This feature is handy for sharing sensitive information, such as credit card details or surprises, with added peace of mind. Similar to View Once photos and videos, View Once voice messages are clearly marked with a "one-time" icon and can only be played once.
WhatsApp maintains end-to-end encryption for all personal messages, ensuring privacy, and View Once represents another step in its ongoing commitment to innovative privacy features. The global rollout of View Once voice messages will take place in the coming days and user feedback is eagerly awaited.
You can send photos, voice messages, and videos that disappear from a chat after the recipient has opened them once.
