The World Government Summit Organisation signed a strategic partnership with five distinguished knowledge contributors specialised in anticipating global trends, enhancing abilities to prepare for the future’s variabilities to develop thought-provoking content that will enable regional focused futuristic conversations and dialogues in shaping future governments.

In the presence of Omar Sultan Al Olama, Minister of State for Artificial Intelligence, Digital Economy and Remote Work Applications, Managing Director of the World Government Summit Organization, the MoU was signed by Mohamed Yousef AlSharhan, Deputy Managing Director of the World Government Summit Organisation and the representatives of the International Institute for Management Development (IMD); Observer Research Foundation (ORF); the Mohammed bin Rashid School of Government (MBRSG); Global Citizen Forum; and “Fiker” Institute.

The partnership aims to develop a futuristic and scientific content, and organise a series of global and regional conversations that support empowering and enabling the next generation of governments to overcome future challenges through innovative solutions.

Omar Al Olama stressed the importance of enhancing collaboration with different global institutes which consolidates the World Government Summit Organization status as a global platform to provide governments with knowledge and expertise in forecasting trends and challenges of the future.

He highlighted the importance of partnerships that will promote the World Governments Summit Organization’s efforts in developing a content that will shape and pave the way to empowering the next generation of governments.

He further added that the digital and scientific changes that the world is witnessing today, requires developing sustainable governmental knowledge that will escalate governments’ abilities to adapt quickly, and that strengthening cooperation between governments and knowledge contributors as well as research centres is key to achieving a resilient and advanced governments that are ready for future challenges.

Broadening New Knowledge-Horizons

Dr. Ali bin Sebaa Al Marri, Executive President of the Mohammed Bin Rashid School of Government (MBRSG), said,

“We are delighted to sign this agreement enabling MBRSG to be a ‘Knowledge Contributor’ at the World Government Summit Organization, the leading international platform that reflects the vision of the UAE’s wise leadership to launch a constructive global dialogue and set strategic priorities for a better, more sustainable future for humankind. Al Marri added.

Dr. Arturo Bris, Professor of Finance and Director of the IMD World Competitiveness Center, stated:

The partnership will join various internationally recognised think-tanks together and commit to cultivating and foster thought leadership that will pave the way for future governments, through research about global and future changes and trends.

The World Government Summit Organisation will focus through these partnerships on releasing a series of reports and Op-eds on “Observer” the Summit’s knowledge platform, that published about 120 reports, reaching to more than 6 million people around the world.

This collaboration is an important pillar in achieving the World Government Summit Organisation’s vision that focuses on key themes, including: accelerating developments and governance, future of societies and healthcare, exploring new frontiers, governing economic resilience and connectivity, global city design and sustainability, as well as prioritising learning and work.
