World Governments Summit 2025 Opens with Record Global Participation

The World Governments Summit (WGS) 2025 opened on Tuesday in Dubai, marking the start of a landmark event under the theme "Shaping Future Governments."

The summit has drawn unprecedented international participation, reflecting its growing influence on global governance discussions.

Running until February 14th, this 12th edition of WGS brings together an esteemed array of heads of state, government leaders, regional and international organisations, global institutions, and leading experts. The summit serves as a platform to explore emerging trends in governance and critical sectors that will shape the future of societies worldwide.

The opening day showcased a series of high-profile forums, each focused on a vital aspect of governance and innovation. These included the Future of Work Forum, Government Experience Exchange Forum, and Government Services Forum, among others. In addition, cutting-edge discussions took place in the Future of Government Communication Forum, Artificial Intelligence Forum, and Future of Mobility Forum. The summit also placed a strong emphasis on gender equality with its dedicated Gender Balance Forum and examined the evolution of education through the Future of Education Forum.
