The World Governments Summit and Fiker Institute have unveiled the 2026 Foreign Policy Toolkit, a strategic resource designed to help governments and businesses anticipate and navigate emerging geopolitical and geoeconomic shifts worldwide.

Developed using Fiker Institute’s research and expert analysis, the Toolkit forecasts key global trends expected to shape international relations in 2026 and translates them into practical implications for both public and private sector decision makers.

Organized by region, the report examines security, political, and environmental dynamics across the Middle East and North Africa, Asia-Pacific, Africa, the Americas, and Europe. It aims to provide a structured framework for assessing risks, identifying opportunities, and preparing for potential geopolitical spillover effects.

Dubai Abulhoul, Founder and CEO of Fiker Institute, said the collaboration reflects a shared commitment to equipping leaders with tools that connect strategy, diplomacy, and foresight in a rapidly evolving multilateral environment.

In the Middle East and North Africa, the Toolkit highlights water security as a pressing concern, pointing to the political and economic consequences of limited cross-border water governance. It also notes the significance of the 2026 UN Water Conference, co-hosted by the UAE and Senegal, as a platform to elevate the issue on regional and global agendas.

For the Asia-Pacific, the report focuses on the opportunities and challenges linked to India’s BRICS presidency, while in Europe it underscores the risks posed by political polarization and fragmentation at both national and European Union levels.

Fiker Institute has contributed to the World Governments Summit’s knowledge platform since 2022, supporting its mission to promote global dialogue, innovation, and cooperation on future governance challenges.
