Mohammad Abdullah Al Gergawi, Minister of Cabinet Affairs and Chairman of the World Governments Summit (WGS), emphasized the summit's unique role in fostering future-focused partnerships.

Since its inception over a decade ago, guided by the vision of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the WGS has become a pivotal platform for national and global collaboration aimed at serving communities and addressing future challenges.

At the recent "Partners Retreat," leaders from 40 partner entities, including public and private sector representatives and entrepreneurs, convened to discuss the upcoming World Governments Summit 2025. The retreat, featuring Omar Sultan Al Olama, Minister of State for Artificial Intelligence, Digital Economy, and Remote Work Applications, focused on shaping the future direction of the summit.

Al Gergawi highlighted that the WGS is the only global platform dedicated to addressing the future as a matter of well-being. The summit strives to build partnerships that transcend geopolitical conflicts, aiming to promote sustainable development and ensure a prosperous future for generations to come.

The retreat served as a dynamic brainstorming session, where participants engaged in interactive discussions and workshops on various topics, including effective governance, future financing, climate change, agile cities, and global health transformations. The event provided a platform for open dialogue, allowing participants to share insights and enrich the summit's themes with practical experiences.

The Partners Retreat underscores the WGS's commitment to shaping future trends through collaborative efforts, reflecting its role as a hub for innovative partnerships and initiatives dedicated to human prosperity and global progress.
