Dubai is set to host the fourth edition of the prestigious World Police Summit Awards, with nominations now open for law enforcement professionals worldwide.
This year, the awards introduce two new categories—Best Use of Artificial Intelligence in Policing and the Innovation Award for Startups—bringing the total number of award categories to 12.
The awards celebrate excellence across multiple policing and security domains, including criminal investigation, forensic science, road safety, anti-narcotics, and customer service in policing. Special recognitions, such as the Inspiring Female Officer Award and the Good Samaritan Award, highlight the contributions of individuals dedicated to public safety.
A key highlight of the annual World Police Summit, the awards ceremony will take place at the Dubai World Trade Centre from May 13-15, 2025. The summit, recognized as a global platform for law enforcement, brings together experts, academics, and government officials to discuss critical challenges, including advancements in AI, cybersecurity, and cross-border crime prevention.
According to Captain Marwan Abdullah Al Mulla, Head of the World Police Summit Awards,
“The awards provide a significant opportunity to honor law enforcement professionals. The introduction of new categories reflects the evolving role of technology in policing.”
This year’s edition has witnessed a 55% surge in nominations compared to 2024, which recognized winners from Brazil, Italy, Spain, Canada, India, Qatar, Pakistan, and the UAE. Nominees undergo a rigorous selection process led by global policing experts, with final winners chosen from three finalists in each category.
Nominations remain open until March 31, 2025, with eligibility criteria available on the official awards website.
