The World Sports Summit has unveiled a new roster of high-profile speakers for its upcoming edition in Dubai, reinforcing its position as one of the most influential global platforms shaping the future of sport.
Set to take place on December 29 and 30 at Madinat Jumeirah, the summit will be held under the theme Uniting the World Through Sport. The latest announcement brings the total number of confirmed speakers to 70, representing an elite mix of global leaders, sports icons, and industry decision makers.
The newly confirmed speakers include Italian football legend Francesco Totti, Super Bowl champion Victor Cruz, Spanish football icon Andrés Iniesta, and former Brazil captain Cafu. They will be joined by Sue Bird Cash, a leading figure in women’s basketball, former NBA star Baron Davis, Spanish tennis champion Paula Badosa, and Super Bowl winner Marques Colston.
Organisers describe the summit as the largest global gathering of its kind, bringing together senior executives from the sports sector, representatives of international federations, investors, innovators, and global experts on a single platform. The event is designed to encourage dialogue, exchange ideas, and explore strategies that will influence the global sports landscape.
More than 1,500 participants from around the world are expected to attend, with over 20 discussion and dialogue sessions scheduled across the two-day event.
In addition to the summit programme, Dubai will host the 13th edition of the Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Global Sports Award during the event. The award will be presented in a new format, reflecting the emirate’s vision to expand the definition of sporting excellence and highlight the humanitarian and developmental impact of sport on a global scale.
