World’s Largest AI Prompt Engineering Championship Opens Registration

The countdown has begun for the second edition of the Global Prompt Engineering Championship 2025, set to be the world’s largest generative AI competition.

Registration is now open for AI experts to showcase their talents in four dynamic categories: Art, Video, Gaming, and Coding, with a grand prize pool of AED 1 million.

Organized by the Dubai Centre for Artificial Intelligence (DCAI) and overseen by the Dubai Future Foundation (DFF), the championship offers a platform for global participants to demonstrate their expertise in prompt engineering. Contestants will craft precise instructions for AI tools to generate innovative content, pushing the boundaries of creative AI applications.

This high-profile event will take place during Dubai AI Week, held under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai. The championship will unfold on April 22–23, 2025, at AREA 2071, Emirates Towers, reinforcing Dubai’s role as a global leader in AI innovation.

The competition will select 24 finalists—six from each category—who will compete in live challenges. The top three participants from each category will advance to the final phase on the second day. The winners will receive a share of the AED 1 million prize pool. Evaluation will be based on the speed, quality, and accuracy of their prompts.

Saeed Al Falasi, Director of DCAI, highlighted the event’s significance, saying it would unite top AI professionals to explore the future of AI in a collaborative environment. Last year’s championship attracted thousands of submissions from nearly 100 countries, further establishing Dubai as a hub for cutting-edge AI innovation.
