DP World’s National Industries Park is set to become home to one of the Gulf’s most advanced furniture manufacturing facilities, as global player Zarberg commits more than AED 120 million to a new 65,000 sqm site aimed at supporting the region’s fast-growing real estate sector.

The project’s first phase will cover 18,000 sqm and include production, office and showroom areas. Operations are scheduled to expand further in 2028. Once fully operational, the facility is expected to produce furniture for 40 furnished apartments per day and employ close to 150 people during the initial phase, with additional recruitment planned as output increases.

The plant will manufacture customised kitchens, wardrobes, living rooms and vanities, combining Italian design principles, German engineering and high-grade materials. Zarberg will also introduce an automated Industry 4.0 production line that allows customers to tailor products to individual specifications.

DP World GCC’s COO for Parks and Zones, Abdulla Al Hashmi, said the investment reflects growing demand for quality furniture as Dubai’s residential and commercial districts continue to expand. He noted that new partners such as Zarberg strengthen Dubai’s position as a centre for advanced manufacturing.

Zarberg Furniture Manufacturing’s Managing Director, Zarina Alidzhanova, described the project as a step toward redefining furniture production in the region through European design heritage and automation. She added that NIP offers a strategic platform to build a modern facility aligned with the needs of the GCC market.

The site will incorporate solar systems, energy-efficient machinery, an advanced air-filtration setup and electric service vehicles. All timber used in production will be responsibly sourced from certified forests to ensure full traceability and support sustainable manufacturing practices.
