The Formula 1 Etihad Airways Abu Dhabi Grand Prix will return to Yas Marina Circuit from 3rd to 6th December 2026, once again serving as the final race weekend of the Formula 1 World Championship season.
Preparations for the season finale are progressing according to schedule, with Formula One President and CEO Stefano Domenicali reaffirming the championship’s commitment to the planned calendar. Abu Dhabi is preparing to welcome Formula 1 fans from around the world for four days combining motorsport with entertainment and hospitality experiences.
The emirate has hosted Formula 1 since 2009, establishing the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix as one of the most recognised events on the international motorsport calendar.
Saood Abdulaziz Al Hosani, Under-Secretary of the Department of Culture and Tourism – Abu Dhabi, said the event reflects the emirate’s ability to host major international sporting events while strengthening its position as a global destination.
The Grand Prix also contributes to Abu Dhabi’s wider tourism and events economy by attracting international visitors and supporting the hospitality, tourism and entertainment sectors.
Saif Rashid Al Noaimi, CEO of Ethara, confirmed that preparations are progressing well, with organisers working alongside Formula 1 and partners across Abu Dhabi to deliver a high-quality experience for fans, teams and drivers.
Beyond the racing at Yas Marina Circuit, the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix weekend will feature a wider programme of concerts, entertainment activities and hospitality experiences across Yas Island.
As the final round of the 2026 Formula 1 season, the event will bring the championship to a close while providing fans with a combination of competitive racing and entertainment.
The December event is expected to once again draw international audiences to Abu Dhabi and reinforce the emirate’s position as a leading destination for global sporting and entertainment events.
