His Highness Sheikh Ahmed bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Second Deputy Ruler of Dubai and Chairman of the Dubai Media Council, said the rapidly changing local and international media landscape calls for a swift overhaul of organizational structures, regulations, and legislation relating to the media sector in Dubai to keep pace with the rapid changes shaping the industry.

His Highness emphasized the importance of proactive measures to enable media to convey messages objectively and uphold international best practices. Chairing a meeting at the Dubai Media Council, he highlighted the need for a comprehensive blueprint to drive the media sector, adapting to technological advancements. Dubai's legislative flexibility was praised as instrumental in its global success, with ongoing efforts to synchronize with global media advancements. He directed the swift implementation of the Media Policy Development Plan, focusing on media professions, emerging sectors, and investment policies. His Highness stressed the importance of bolstering media economy capabilities through talent development and technological enhancement.

#RamadanInDubai campaign reviewed

Sheikh Ahmed reviewed the successful #RamadanInDubai campaign, launched under his directives, praising its seamless coordination between government entities and the private sector. Managed by Brand Dubai, the campaign showcased vibrant celebrations, affirming Dubai's global status. He commended participants for capturing Ramadan's essence and honoring Emirati traditions. Mona Al Marri affirmed efforts to advance the media sector in line with His Highness's vision, focusing on governance, legislation, human capital development, talent attraction, and upskilling. This concerted effort aims to enhance Dubai's media readiness and competitiveness in delivering quality content.

This aims to enhance transparency, accountability, and investment attractiveness while supporting sustainable growth through talent management and risk mitigation.

The meeting included key figures such as Hala Youssef Badri, Malek Sultan Al Malek, Abdullah Hameed Balhoul, Younis Abdulaziz Al Nasser, Amal Ahmed bin Shabib, Mohammed Sulaiman Al Mulla, and Dr. Abdullah Mohammed Al Karam.
