Al Ameen Service, in collaboration with Digital Dubai, launched phase two of the "WeGotYourBack" campaign on social media, which will focus on raising the public’s awareness and tracking scams and fraud that use suspicious links.
The campaign is part of Al Ameen Service’s strategic partnership with Digital Dubai aimed at raising awareness about cybercrimes and highlighting recent trends in countering fraud and impersonation in security and social services cases.
It aims to raise the public’s awareness through a range of materials available in several languages, which urge people to not share their passwords including OTP with anyone claiming to be a trusted source, as this provides fraudsters with unwarranted access to WhatsApp accounts, emails, online banking services and other related platforms.
Al Ameen Service also encouraged the public to follow its advice on avoiding frauds and scams, including by watching out for "Dear Client" in the sentence, verifying country codes, and not providing personal information or ID numbers in text messages, as well as using credit cards for better protection against electronic fraud and scams, and always using a company’s official website or contacting customer services.
