The Endowment and Minors’ Trust Foundation in Dubai (Awqaf Dubai) has inaugurated Waqf Tadawi, an AED6.5 million healthcare endowment in Al Satwa designed to provide sustainable support for patients unable to afford medical treatment.
The project was developed in partnership with Al Tadawi Healthcare Group and will generate returns to help cover treatment costs for patients in need and those with limited incomes, regardless of nationality.
Waqf Tadawi comprises a building on a 2,515-square-foot plot, featuring three residential floors, retail outlets and service facilities. Its proceeds will support humanitarian medical cases treated at Al Tadawi Healthcare Group facilities.
The inauguration was attended by Lieutenant General Dhahi Khalfan Tamim, Deputy Chief of Police and Public Security in Dubai; Lieutenant General Awad Hader Al Muhairi, Vice President of Dubai’s State Security Department; Essa Abdulla Al Ghurair, Chairman of Awqaf Dubai; Ali Mohammed Al Mutawa, Secretary General of Awqaf Dubai; and Marwan Ibrahim Haji Nasser, Chairman and CEO of Al Tadawi Healthcare Group.
The project was supported by Dhahi Khalfan Tamim, Tarahum Charity Foundation, Dar Al Ber Society and several philanthropists, highlighting collaboration between charitable organisations, the healthcare sector and private donors.
Awqaf Dubai said the initiative strengthens the role of endowments in healthcare by creating a sustainable funding stream for medical care while easing the financial burden on patients and preserving their dignity.
Al Tadawi Healthcare Group said it would support the initiative through its medical capabilities, including qualified doctors and nursing teams, to help deliver healthcare services to beneficiaries in line with international medical standards.
