The Central Bank of the UAE (CBUAE), in collaboration with the Supreme Council for Motherhood and Childhood, has issued commemorative silver coins to celebrate the Council’s 20th anniversary.

Established in 2003, the Council has played a vital role in advancing services for mothers, children, and youth across the UAE.

The CBUAE minted 500 silver coins, each weighing 40 grams. The front of the coin displays the Council’s building encircled by the phrase “Supreme Council for Motherhood and Childhood” in both Arabic and English. The reverse side bears the nominal value of 20 dirhams and the phrase "Central Bank of the UAE" in both languages. All coins were presented to the Supreme Council and will not be available for sale.

Saif Al Dhaheri, Assistant Governor for Banking Operations and Support Services at CBUAE, expressed pride in the collaboration, noting the significance of commemorating institutions that shape the UAE’s future.

“The issuance reflects the Central Bank’s commitment to highlighting achievements across the UAE,”

he stated.

Reem bint Abdullah Al Falasi, Secretary-General of the Supreme Council, commended CBUAE’s initiative. She highlighted the coins as symbols of the Council’s enduring commitment to motherhood and childhood, emphasizing its dedication to enhancing educational, cultural, health, and social support for UAE families.

"These coins will serve as reminders of the Council’s achievements and its role in supporting successive generations,"

she said.

This initiative honors the legacy of those who contributed to the Council’s mission and celebrates its continued focus on well-being and development for the nation’s families.
