Community-oriented entertainment destinations are playing an increasingly central role in Dubai’s tourism strategy, reinforcing the emirate’s position as a global lifestyle hub while enhancing quality of life for residents and visitors alike.
Popular during the UAE’s winter season, these open-air venues blend entertainment, culture and dining within family-friendly community spaces. They attract thousands of visitors locally and internationally, reflecting Dubai’s broader investment in well-being, urban beauty and social cohesion.
Two standout examples are Marsa Boulevard along Dubai Creek and The Square at Nad Al Sheba parks. Both destinations offer immersive leisure experiences, bringing families together through diverse activities, creative settings and a curated mix of local and international dining concepts.
These developments align with the objectives of the Dubai Civility Committee and the Dubai Urban Plan 2040, which aim to preserve the emirate’s visual harmony while supporting its ambition to be among the world’s most liveable cities. Their role is further highlighted through the UAE’s World’s Coolest Winter campaign, which underscores the importance of community spaces in enriching everyday life.
Returning for its second season, Marsa Boulevard has expanded across an upgraded waterfront, showcasing private sector participation in urban development. The destination features pop-up food stalls, fashion showcases, live performances, art installations and seasonal dining experiences, including curated offerings during Ramadan.
Meanwhile, The Square has emerged as a vibrant cultural and lifestyle destination since its launch in November 2024. Spanning 21,000 square metres, it combines premium dining, sports facilities and wellness spaces, supported by recent enhancements designed to elevate visitor experiences.
Together, these destinations highlight a shift in Dubai’s lifestyle landscape, where community-driven entertainment is shaping the future of urban leisure.
