Tandem Skydive
Experience the thrill of freefall at over 120 miles per hour with a tandem skydive, the quickest and easiest way to enjoy this heart-pounding adventure. Safely harnessed to an experienced instructor, thrill-seekers can choose from two world-class locations: the Palm Dropzone and the Desert Dropzone.
Purchasers of a tandem package at either location will also receive photographs and a standard edited video of their experience within 48 hours, delivered via email. The tandem package also includes medical insurance for added peace of mind.
Your journey spanning three hours is segmented into four essential steps.
- REGISTRATION & TRAINING
Upon arrival at the venue, you register and complete the necessary waiver forms during check-in. Following this, a weight check calculates your BMI. Once registration is finished, you are assigned a tandem instructor and camera flyer for your experience. The instructor provides a safety briefing, demonstrating the optimal body position for free fall. The final step involves strapping on the harness.
- THE FLIGHT
After registering and briefing, staff will guide you to the boarding area for a pre-boarding safety check. Boarding a plane that ascends to 13,000 feet, you'll relish stunning views of Palm Jumeirah and the skyline during the 20-minute journey to the jumping altitude.
- THE DIVE
Following a final check by your tandem skydiving instructor, the exhilarating experience commences as you exit the plane for nearly 60 seconds of free fall alongside your camera flyer. Upon reaching 6,000 feet, a 4-5 minute parachute ride allows you to gracefully soar past the city's skyline, akin to a falcon in flight.
- POST LANDING
After landing, the cameraman conducts an interview to capture your post-adrenaline fall reaction. Subsequently, you're escorted back to the main building, providing an opportunity to relax at the café while awaiting your photos and video. Additionally, explore the merchandise store for souvenir options like t-shirts. Throughout the journey, the assigned camera flyer will regularly interview you, so keep smiling, even in mid-air when you jump off the plane!
Solo Skydiving
Students and licensed skydivers of all skill and skydive levels are welcome to skydive.
What to bring if you’re a licensed skydiver:
- Valid photo ID
- A signed and up-to-date logbook
- Memberships and licenses (from the same federation, when applicable) must be valid upon arrival
- Your rig will need to be inspected by their riggers before you can manifest. The in-date reserve data card must be filled before manifesting (reserve repacks are available at our onsite rigging loft). Please note, that your reserve repack is valid for only 180 days from the date of repacking, irrespective of the country that has issued your license. AADs are mandatory (Cypress, Vigil, and M2 are accepted, however, Argus is not accepted). Skydiving gear equipped with high-performance canopies (Cross-braced) and/or skydivers with a wing loading higher than 2.0 must have a minimum of Cypres Speed or its equivalent.
- It is recommended that skydivers hold insurance policies that cover both first- and third-party liability.
- If you plan to rent gear, please request this upon check-in.
To skydive at the Desert dropzone, skydivers must meet the following conditions:
- Students and non-licensed skydivers need to have skydived in the last 30 days.
- Licensed skydivers who have between 25 to 49 logged skydives need to have skydived in the last 60 days.
- Licensed skydivers who have between 50 to 199 logged skydives need to have skydived in the last 90 days.
- Licensed skydivers who have over 200 logged skydives need to have skydived within the last six months.
- Certified skydivers with prior experiences at the Palm Dropzone before 2018 are required to possess a USPA D-Licence or its equivalent, along with a minimum of 800 logged skydives.

Requirements For Skydiving In Dubai
- All participants must carry their passports or a valid photo ID such as an Emirates ID/driver’s license/government ID card with them on the day of the skydive.
- Participants must be 12 years of age or older on the day of the tandem skydive at both drop zones, as per the Gregorian calendar.
- Those between the ages of 12 to 17 will need a parent or legal guardian’s signed consent on the Parent Consent Tandem Waiver.
- Participants above the age of 70 will need to get a medical certificate before the skydive.
- Skydiving under the influence of alcohol or drugs for tandem skydives is strictly prohibited.
- Skydivers must avoid scuba diving at least 24 hours before the tandem skydive.
- Dress in comfortable sportswear and shoes on the day of the skydive
- All participants will be subject to a BMI and weight check before the skydive. Those exceeding weight and BMI limits will not be authorized to participate. For women, it’s 90.0 kg/198.0 lbs or less and a maximum BMI of 27.5. For men, it’s 100.0 kg/220.5 lbs or less and a maximum BMI of 30.
- Those with medical conditions, diabetes, dislocated shoulder, drug or alcohol addiction, hypertension, mental illness, or severe head injury must get a fitness declaration form signed by a doctor.
Points to be noted:
- Reserve your skydive date and check-in time well in advance. Booking is granted on a first-come-first-serve basis.
- Sandals, boots, high heels, shirts with a collar, short shirts or shorts, and sleeveless shirts are not allowed. Make sure you are wearing sneakers/sports shoes and T-shirts, with short or long sleeves.
- Female Tandem Skydivers are available on request, but this will be subject to availability. For those wearing a hijab, a special scarf for skydiving is available too.
- Rescheduling is allowed up to 24 hours before the reservation date for individuals and 72 hours prior for groups. All rescheduling must be done by contacting Skydive Dubai.
