The 28th Water, Energy, Technology and Environment Exhibition (WETEX) begins tomorrow at the Dubai World Trade Centre, organised by Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA) under the patronage of Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum, Chairman of the Dubai Supreme Council of Energy.
WETEX 2026 has attracted 3,000 companies from 60 countries, with 13 international pavilions, 60 sponsors and 23 partners and supporters. It remains the largest exhibition of its kind in the region, covering conventional and renewable energy, water, environmental sustainability and digital transformation. Key focus areas include artificial intelligence, decarbonisation, green mobility, green hydrogen, smart and sustainable cities, and health and safety.
Highlights include the Dubai Charge Point Operators Forum 2026 under the theme “Connect. Align. Accelerate”, the Green Mobility Zone, the Health and Safety Hub and a Delegation Zone designed to strengthen cooperation between local and international companies and major government entities in the UAE and the GCC. Business-to-business and business-to-government platforms will connect companies, institutions and investors, and several MoUs and agreements are expected to be signed. Exhibitors can also tour DEWA’s Sustainability and Innovation Centre at the Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Solar Park.
DEWA is organising 119 seminars and panel discussions with experts from around the world. Topics include powering AI infrastructure, green hydrogen and biogas blending, STATCOM for renewable energy, resilient and cybersecure grids, intelligent water networks, advanced reverse osmosis and AI-driven health and safety.
Investment and electric mobility will also be on the agenda, with sessions on whether sustainable cities are investable and how to scale EV infrastructure without straining the grid.
