Expo City Dubai’s Winter City returns for its fifth edition from December 11 to 31 under Al Wasl Season, partnering with Disney+ to bring beloved stories to life under the theme “Once upon a holiday...”.
Families can step into themed zones inspired by Disney, Pixar, Marvel Studios and 20th Century Studios, including Frozen, Toy Story and Home Alone. The collaboration aims to take stories beyond the screen and into a richly themed experience for visitors from across the UAE and beyond.
Popular attractions will return, including snowfall beneath Al Wasl Dome, letters to Santa, complimentary meet-and-greets with Santa and Mrs Claus, and large-scale projections across the dome. Festive music and specially curated food and beverage offerings will also feature, with more surprises to be revealed closer to opening day.
Amna Abulhoul, Executive Creative Director of Events and Experiences at Expo City Dubai, said Winter City has always been a place where families come together and everyone becomes a child again. She said the Disney+ partnership adds a new chapter, with every family set to experience the event differently.
Tamim Fares, Director of Disney+ Middle East, said the collaboration brings the feeling of shared family stories beyond the screen and into Winter City, creating a destination where audiences can step into the worlds they love.
