DMCC has partnered with Web3 marketing agency EAK Digital to launch BlockDown in Dubai, bringing the internationally recognised blockchain and digital assets conference to one of the world's most active digital economy hubs for the first time.
The inaugural edition is scheduled for 26–27 January 2027 at Uptown Dubai's open-air The Plaza, with between 2,000 and 3,000 attendees expected. Participants will include founders, investors, blockchain protocols, digital asset firms, venture capital funds and global technology companies.
BlockDown Dubai will cover digital assets, decentralised technologies, artificial intelligence, Web3 gaming, venture capital and financial services, with discussions centred on the convergence of blockchain infrastructure, tokenisation and digital finance within the broader global economy.
EAK Digital, the organiser behind Istanbul Blockchain Week — the largest Web3 industry event in Türkiye — is expanding the BlockDown franchise into the UAE as part of a wider regional growth strategy.
Ahmed Bin Sulayem, Executive Chairman and CEO of DMCC, said digital assets and blockchain infrastructure are moving from the margins into the core of the global economy and that the partnership positions Dubai as a premier platform connecting founders, investors and institutions driving that shift.
Erhan Korhaliller, Founder and CEO of EAK Digital, described Dubai as sitting at the intersection of capital, technology and global ambition, and said the January 2027 event was the beginning of what he intends to become the defining Web3 event brand in the region.
DMCC currently hosts more than 800 Web3 companies within a broader technology community of over 4,000 firms, operating alongside more than 26,000 businesses across trade, finance and professional services.
