EMSTEEL Group has signed a collaboration agreement with the Technology Innovation Institute (TII) to develop and validate high-strength reinforcement solutions aimed at protecting the UAE's critical infrastructure.
The partnership establishes a joint framework to assess and validate the performance of EMSTEEL's ES600 high-strength rebar under demanding impact and protection scenarios. It also creates a pathway for developing specialised reinforcement grades engineered for resilience-critical applications across strategic national assets and essential public infrastructure.
TII, the applied research arm of Abu Dhabi's Advanced Technology Research Council (ATRC), brings expertise in material characterisation, advanced simulation, and impact-response assessment to the collaboration. EMSTEEL contributes its advanced steel manufacturing capabilities, with both organisations working toward building a scientific foundation for next-generation reinforcement solutions developed within the UAE.
Group CEO Eng. Saeed Ghumran Al Remeithi said the agreement reflects EMSTEEL's commitment to innovation that supports the country's long-term infrastructure and industrial priorities, adding that the partnership would strengthen local capability and accelerate knowledge development.
TII CEO Dr. Najwa Aaraj said the collaboration would validate high-strength reinforcement for the most demanding protection applications while reinforcing the role of UAE-developed solutions in safeguarding national infrastructure.
The agreement aligns with EMSTEEL's broader strategy of expanding high-performance steel solutions across increasingly sophisticated applications, while supporting the UAE's ambition to build a globally competitive, innovation-driven industrial economy.
