DP World and Lintara Properties, the real estate arm of Arcapita Group Holdings, have started construction on a 20,000 square metre logistics facility in Jebel Ali Free Zone, marking another step in Dubai's push to expand its trade infrastructure.
The Grade A build-to-suit centre is being developed by Lintara Properties and will be operated by DP World once complete, forming part of the company's integrated supply chain network across the region. Construction is set to finish in the first quarter of 2027.
The facility will offer roughly 12 metre clear height storage, temperature-controlled zones, dedicated space for dangerous goods, office areas and other operational amenities designed to support complex logistics needs.
Ahmad Yousef Al-Hassan, CEO and Managing Director of DP World GCC, said the facility addresses the kind of infrastructure customers need to manage increasingly complex supply chains. He added that the project will strengthen the company's ability to deliver integrated solutions across the GCC while reflecting the continued evolution of Dubai's trade ecosystem.
Isa Al Khalifa, Managing Director and Head of MENA Real Estate at Arcapita and CEO of Lintara Properties, said the project underscores the company's focus on building high-quality, purpose-built logistics assets tailored to tenant needs. He noted that Jafza remains a vital regional logistics hub, with strong demand for institutional-grade facilities that support efficient distribution.
Lintara Properties will serve as Development Manager throughout construction and take over Asset Management once the facility is operational. The project is part of Arcapita's wider strategy to invest in tenant-led industrial real estate across major logistics hubs in the region, as companies continue expanding distribution capacity near key trade corridors.
