The Dubai Centre for Family Businesses has kicked off the first cycle of its 2026 Next-Gen Family Businesses Training Programme, welcoming 17 next-generation members from family enterprises across the emirate.

Operating under Dubai Chambers, the centre designed the programme to build leadership, governance, and entrepreneurship capabilities among successors who will steer their family businesses into the future. The curriculum draws on leading international standards while incorporating regional context to reflect the realities of the local business landscape.

The training takes a hands-on approach, blending interactive group discussions, role-play sessions, practical assessments, and real-life case studies. Core topics include governance fundamentals, board leadership, strategic decision-making, entrepreneurship, communication skills, and conflict resolution.

Graduates of the programme will leave with a stronger grasp of governance principles, the board's role in driving business growth, and balanced leadership models drawn from global best practices. The programme is structured to sharpen both personal leadership qualities and long-term professional vision.

The Next-Gen programme is part of a broader mission the centre has pursued since its establishment in 2023 to promote the sustainability and growth of family businesses in Dubai and strengthen their contribution to the emirate's economic development plans.
