Dubai Police has been honoured by the Project Management Institute at its global summit in Seoul, South Korea, for outstanding leadership in delivering community safety and security projects.
Colonel Ahmed Al Hafeeti, Director of the Initiatives and Projects Department at Dubai Police, received the award from PMI President and CEO Pierre Le Manh, with Hani Al Shathli, PMI's Managing Director for the Middle East and North Africa, in attendance.
The recognition marks a significant milestone in Dubai Police's ongoing strategic partnership with PMI, which was first established in 2022, making Dubai Police the first police force in the world to enter such an agreement with the institute.
Al Shathli noted that the honour reflects Dubai Police's leadership in applying project management as a driver of institutional excellence and government transformation. He highlighted the force's consistent efforts to develop national talent, strengthen organisational capabilities, and align its initiatives with the UAE's long-term development vision.
Colonel Al Hafeeti credited the achievement to the direction of Lieutenant General Abdullah Khalifa Al Marri, Commander-in-Chief of Dubai Police, saying the recognition reinforces the force's commitment to innovation, performance, and community well-being.
Since the partnership's launch, Dubai Police has embedded project management practices across its key strategic programmes, improving agility, project outcomes, and the delivery of public services. The force's approach is seen as a model for government entities seeking to modernise operations and institutionalise excellence.
The accolade positions Dubai Police as a benchmark for public sector project management in the region, underscoring the growing role of structured governance frameworks in advancing national priorities.
