Dubai Chamber of Commerce joined forces with FedEx to host a focused open discussion on the resilience of supply chains in the emirate, drawing 196 business representatives for a candid conversation on navigating today's shifting global trade landscape.

The session examined how companies operating in Dubai can better prepare for disruptions in global shipping routes, with participants exploring logistics frameworks built around flexibility, speed and efficiency. Key themes included the role of artificial intelligence, alternative shipping routes, multimodal logistics services and flexible operating models in maintaining business continuity.

Maha Al Gargawi, Vice President of Business Advocacy at Dubai Chambers, underscored the importance of public-private cooperation, noting that Dubai's advanced logistics infrastructure continues to strengthen the emirate's standing as a leading global hub for trade and business.

Sammy Bousaba, Managing Director Sales at FedEx Middle East, Indian Continent and Africa, pointed to the growing complexity of global trade and the need for intelligent, connected logistics networks. He highlighted how FedEx combines its integrated air and ground network with digital capabilities to help businesses stay ahead of change and keep supply chains moving.

Attendees also examined the lessons emerging from current global challenges and discussed how businesses can develop proactive policies to address evolving international conditions. Insights were shared on how FedEx's cross-border solutions and technology-driven tools are enhancing predictability and decision-making for businesses across the region.
