Meraas has awarded AED 2.4 billion in main construction contracts for new phases of The Acres and The Acres Estates, its flagship villa developments in Dubailand, as demand for premium residential communities in Dubai continues to rise among local and international buyers.
United Engineering Construction (UNEC) has been appointed to deliver The Acres, while GCC Contracting will lead construction at The Acres Estates. Together, the contracts cover the construction, testing, commissioning, and handover of 557 villas.
The Acres phase will add 371 three- to five-bedroom villas alongside community infrastructure, while The Acres Estates will deliver 186 five- to seven-bedroom residences on a larger, more exclusive scale — featuring curated architectural collections, swimmable lagoons, and premium waterfront landscaping.
Khalid Al Malik, CEO of Dubai Holding Real Estate, said the award reflects strong market demand and the company's commitment to quality.
"Our focus remains on raising the standard for sustainable, community-led living in Dubai,"
he added.
Both contractors echoed the emphasis on precision and delivery standards. UNEC Chairman Eng. Abdul Halim Muwahid cited a shared commitment to disciplined execution, while GCC Contracting CEO Bipin Chandran pointed to the technical expertise required for a development of this calibre.
The Acres is designed around the Halo Loop Park, integrating landscaped green spaces with resort-style amenities. The wider development has achieved LEED Gold for Communities Precertification, reflecting its focus on sustainable design and resource efficiency.
Located in Dubailand with access via Sheikh Zayed bin Hamdan Al Nahyan Street and Emirates Road, the communities sit close to Global Village, Dubai Polo and Equestrian Club, and Hamdan Sports Complex.
