Dubai Chamber of Commerce, part of Dubai Chambers, brought together 65 representatives from newly joined member companies for a briefing on the services available to them, from certificates of origin to the chamber's ESG Label.
Khalid AlJarwan, Executive Vice President of Commercial and Corporate Services at Dubai Chambers, said the chamber wants to sharpen private sector competitiveness with services that help companies move faster and adapt to change, while backing Dubai's standing as a business and investment hub.
Amna Mohamed Lootah, Director of the Digital Payments Regulation Division at Dubai Finance, presented the Dubai Cashless Strategy, which targets 90% cashless transactions across government and private sectors and full digital enablement in both by the end of 2026. It rests on three pillars — Digital Governance, Digital Innovation, and Digital Society — aimed at building a secure, inclusive digital payments system.
Attendees heard how the chamber's Business Groups let local companies weigh in on the laws and regulations shaping their sectors, acting as a channel between government and the private sector. They were also walked through the "Business in Dubai" platform, which bundles corporate services from seven accredited partners — 65 services in total, spanning financial, marketing and growth, technology, and testing/inspection/certification categories.
The chamber also demoed DC Connect, its newer digital interface for membership, document attestation, ATA Carnets, mediation, and Business Group services. On ATA Carnets specifically: they let goods cross borders duty-free for up to a year, a system the chamber runs with Dubai Customs, the Federal Customs Authority, and UAE chambers.
Rounding out the session: mediation services built for speed and confidentiality, document attestation to verify paperwork, trade missions to help Dubai firms break into new markets, and the work of Dubai International Chamber's overseas offices in scouting opportunities and drawing foreign investment.
