In a significant move to enhance economic relations, the Dubai Chamber of Commerce has announced the establishment of the Korean Business Council.
This initiative aims to foster mutually beneficial opportunities between private sector companies in Dubai and the Republic of Korea.
The council's inaugural annual general meeting, held recently at Dubai Chambers, brought together key stakeholders to identify priorities and outline plans for future events. The Business Council will focus on enhancing economic cooperation between Dubai and Korea, targeting sectors with the highest potential for collaboration.
Maha Al Gargawi, Vice President of Business Advocacy at Dubai Chambers, emphasized the importance of Business Councils in fostering cooperation and creating opportunities.
"We remain committed to ensuring they contribute to the growth of the private sector and increase its contribution to sustainable economic development in Dubai,"
she stated.
The Korean Business Council joins a network of country-specific councils under the Dubai Chamber of Commerce, which represent the interests of companies and investors from markets vital to Dubai's economic landscape. These councils are crucial for opening new channels of economic cooperation and advancing the interests of investors in the emirate.
As part of its commitment to the Dubai Economic Agenda (D33), the chamber is dedicated to increasing the number of country-specific Business Councils. This initiative supports Dubai's foreign trade and aids local companies in expanding their reach into global markets, further solidifying the emirate's position as a global business hub.
