Dubai Chambers convened a high-profile roundtable in Shanghai to spotlight investment opportunities under the Dubai Economic Agenda (D33), drawing Chinese business leaders eager to tap into the emirate's growing economic influence.
The session brought together a select group of Chinese investors and corporate representatives to explore Dubai's advanced business environment, robust infrastructure, and flexible regulatory framework. These factors, organisers noted, continue to attract international firms looking to expand from Dubai into markets across the region and beyond.
Salem AlShamsi, Executive Vice President of International Relations at Dubai Chambers, described China as a strategic market and pointed to growing momentum in the Dubai-China economic relationship, driven by shared ambitions and expanding cooperation in priority sectors.
The roundtable also previewed the upcoming Dubai Business Forum, China's next edition, scheduled for October 14 in Shenzhen. The forum will gather business leaders, investors, and policymakers to discuss partnership opportunities in future-focused industries, including the digital economy and advanced technology.
Organisers said the Shenzhen event will serve as a platform for strategic dialogue, bringing together public and private sector representatives, multinational corporations, technology startups, and venture capital firms from both Dubai and China. The agenda will include panel discussions and networking sessions aimed at converting strategic dialogue into concrete business outcomes.
During the Shanghai session, Dubai Chambers highlighted investment prospects in technology, agentic AI, logistics, trade, and advanced manufacturing, while outlining support services available to Chinese companies seeking to establish or grow their presence in Dubai.
The initiative forms part of Dubai Chambers' broader push to deepen ties with high-potential global markets, supporting D33's goal of positioning Dubai among the world's top three economic cities.
