Dubai Chambers has entered a strategic partnership with the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC), aiming to strengthen global trade and support small and medium enterprises (SMEs) worldwide.
The collaboration brings together Dubai Chambers and the ICC—representing over 45 million companies across more than 170 countries—to foster innovation and improve financing access for SMEs.
A centerpiece of the agreement is the development of Dubai Chambers’ Chamber Benchmarking Tool, which will be made available to ICC member chambers globally. This tool is designed to enhance the impact of chambers worldwide by promoting knowledge sharing, expertise, and capacity-building. The initiative underscores Dubai’s position as a key global trade hub, linking international markets and strengthening supply chains.
The partnership emphasizes several strategic goals, including trade digitalization, dispute resolution, sustainability, climate action, and multilateral cooperation. It aligns with the ICC’s Digital Standards Initiative, aiming to streamline and digitalize trade processes globally.
Mohammad Ali Rashed Lootah, President and CEO of Dubai Chambers, expressed enthusiasm for the partnership, highlighting its potential to drive sustainable economic growth in the MENA region.
“Our partnership with the ICC reflects our shared vision to empower businesses through innovation, digitalization, and improved access to finance,”
he stated.
John W.H. Denton AO, Secretary-General of the ICC, also praised the collaboration, noting it would build on an already successful relationship with Dubai Chambers. He emphasized the significance of advancing trade digitalization and chamber empowerment through this agreement.
This partnership follows Dubai Chambers' recent initiatives, including hosting the 12th World Chambers Congress in 2021 and introducing the Chamber Model Innovation (CMI) framework, reinforcing Dubai’s commitment to global business advancement and chamber innovation.
