Dubai Chambers has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with DHL Express to support the expansion of local companies into global markets and strengthen their international competitiveness.
The agreement aims to widen access to overseas markets and back export activity through logistics and commercial solutions suited to members’ needs. DHL Express will offer Dubai Chamber of Commerce members preferential shipping rates, customised commercial packages and promotional onboarding incentives.
Services will include international express shipping, customs clearance support, shipment tracking and cross-border trade advisory. The partnership also covers DHL’s GoTrade Programme, which will reach SMEs in the Chambers’ membership network through training and capability-building activities, alongside trade facilitation and customs advisory support to help goods move smoothly across borders.
Khalid AlJarwan, Executive Vice President of Commercial and Corporate Services at Dubai Chambers, said the aim is to strengthen the private sector’s ability to benefit from growth in global markets. He said the Chambers works to connect companies with international markets and partners while giving them the tools to handle cross-border trade efficiently.
Mahmoud Haj Hussein, Managing Director of DHL Express UAE, said Dubai’s ambition to be a leading global trade hub depends on how well its businesses compete abroad. He said the partnership combines DHL’s global reach, logistics expertise and GoTrade programme to support local businesses and contribute to the goals of the D33 Economic Agenda.
