A group from the General Directorate of Civil Defense in Dubai and under the leadership of Major Essa Ahmed Khourshed Al Mutawa, Director of Monitoring and Control department, attended the "Digital Transformation Summit" in the Republic of South Africa and had remarkable success.
Where participants focused on discussing the significance of applying artificial intelligence to diverse industries, discussing the potential and hazards associated with doing so, and using advancements in science and technology to safeguard people's lives and property.
On the agenda of the delegation was an official visit to the Fire Protection Organization in South Africa (FPASA), the largest firefighting organization in Africa and one of the ten largest organizations in the world.
Those in charge of the organization lauded the leadership and pioneering role played by the Dubai Civil Defense in the application of modern technologies and artificial intelligence to the processes of proactive forecasting, raising awareness, and preventing fires through the use of various artificial intelligence tools.
As part of the visit's agenda Major Essa Ahmed Al Mutawa gave a comprehensive presentation on the Civil Defense readiness program. He imparted the knowledge and experience of the General Directorate of Civil Defense in this sector with the FPASA organization's working group.
In addition, the head of the largest firefighting organization in Africa presented Major Essa Al Mutawa and the delegation from the General Directorate of Civil Defense in Dubai with two certificates of appreciation indicating that the Civil Defense leads the world in the use of artificial intelligence in firefighting applications.
These collaborative initiatives aim to enhance and develop cutting-edge capabilities and skills for civil defense organizations, thereby ensuring the utmost levels of safety and security for communities around the world and safeguarding people and property.
