Dubai Future District Fund (DFDF) has committed capital to MetaProp Fund IV L.P., one of the most active venture capital firms specialising in property technology investments.
The move cements MetaProp as a key early-stage PropTech partner for DFDF, reinforcing Dubai's Economic Agenda D33 and its push to build a regional real estate technology hub.
New York-based MetaProp is regarded as one of the world's most prolific PropTech investors, backing companies from pre-seed through Series A. Its accelerator programme sits at the heart of its model, functioning as both a proving ground and an investment vehicle. The programme also runs masterclasses and mentorship sessions designed to help founders scale efficiently.
MetaProp has built a track record of consistent returns across multiple funds rather than depending on a single standout success. The firm has also expanded internationally, including a foothold in Japan, reflecting its capacity to grow PropTech ventures on a global scale.
Nader Albastaki, Managing Director of DFDF, said MetaProp's sector focus and disciplined approach make it an ideal anchor for the fund's PropTech portfolio. He noted that MetaProp's accelerator applies rigorous scrutiny to determine which companies are ready to scale, and that bringing this expertise to Dubai aligns directly with the D33 Agenda's innovation and growth goals.
Aaron Block, Co-Founder and Managing Partner of MetaProp, said the firm was built on the idea that PropTech companies need access to experienced real estate operators to deliver strong returns. He added that DFDF's investment strengthens MetaProp's ability to support promising founders while expanding its presence across the MENA region.
Through the partnership, MetaProp's portfolio companies will gain entry to DFDF's regional network, creating a pathway for US-based PropTech firms to expand into the Middle East.
