Dubai Future Foundation has joined forces with the World Economic Forum to launch the Top 10 Emerging Technologies of 2025 report, spotlighting breakthrough innovations expected to drive significant global change in the years ahead.
Announced in collaboration with over 300 global experts, the report highlights technologies with the potential to advance health, sustainability, and technological integration—ranging from green nitrogen fixation and structural battery composites to generative watermarking and engineered living therapeutics.
His Excellency Mohammad Abdullah Al Gergawi, Vice Chairman of the Board of Trustees and Managing Director of Dubai Future Foundation, underscored the importance of anticipating future technologies.
“Readiness for future technologies—and the capacity to apply their diverse use cases—has become a key benchmark for governments and the private sector in designing and building the future,”
he said.
This year’s edition marks the first time the report includes a foresight perspective, developed in partnership with Dubai Future Foundation. The Foundation’s contribution explored the long-term impact of the selected technologies and how they could be scaled to address real-world challenges.
Each innovation featured in the report was chosen for its novelty, scalability, and potential to create meaningful societal value, aligning with Dubai’s broader vision of shaping the future through research, partnerships, and policy foresight.
