Dubai is set to host the 11th World Green Economy Summit (WGES) on 1–2 October 2025, reinforcing its role as a global hub for climate action and sustainable development.

Held under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the summit will spotlight practical solutions to climate challenges, with a focus on empowering vulnerable societies.

Organised by the Dubai Supreme Council of Energy, DEWA, and the World Green Economy Organisation, this year’s summit will centre on the theme “Innovating for Impact: Accelerating the Future of the Green Economy.” The agenda places modern technologies at the forefront, including artificial intelligence, Internet of Things, and energy storage innovations.

The summit will also address the critical need for international collaboration and regulatory frameworks that support the development and deployment of green technologies, particularly in developing nations.

Saeed Mohammed Al Tayer, Vice Chairman of the Dubai Supreme Council of Energy and Chairman of WGEO, highlighted the summit’s mission to foster inclusive climate security.

“Empowering vulnerable communities with advanced technologies is key to building global climate resilience,”

he said.

WGES 2025 aims to accelerate the transfer of knowledge, encourage responsible innovation, and mobilise funding to scale solutions for a greener, more equitable future.
