The 10th Dubai International Baja Rally will open on Friday, November 6, with a Prologue Stage at Mushrif National Park, giving residents a rare close-up look at international rally raid action.
Cars, motorcycles and quads will compete in two sessions, from 10:00 to 11:30 and again from 13:30 to 16:30, with a pause for Friday prayers. Entry is free and managed in line with venue capacity.
Organised by the Emirates Motorsports Organization (EMSO) under the patronage of H.H. Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, the rally runs from November 5 to 8. It brings together competitors from the FIA World Baja Cup, FIA Middle East Baja Cup and FIM Bajas World Cup. Dubai hosts the final round of both FIA championships, with season honours still to be decided.
The Ceremonial Start follows at Festival Bay, Dubai Festival City Mall, with fans welcome from 20:00 and the official ceremony at 20:30. Admission is free, and visitors can see the competition vehicles up close and meet leading drivers and riders. The main desert stages then move to Al Qudra on Saturday and Sunday.
Bader Anwahi, CEO of the Public Facilities Agency at Dubai Municipality, said the Prologue expands the range of experiences offered across the city’s public destinations. Khalid Ben Sulayem, President of EMSO, said the aim is to bring the sport closer to the community rather than asking spectators to travel deep into the desert.
The event aligns with the Dubai Sports Sector Strategic Plan 2033 and is supported by Dubai Police, Dubai Municipality, Dubai Parks and Dubai Sports Council. Al-Futtaim Toyota is the Official Automotive Partner.
