Light + Intelligent Building Middle East will mark its 20th edition from January 12 to 14, 2027 at Dubai World Trade Centre, with a spotlight on how lighting, building automation and AI-driven technologies are increasingly working as a single system.

Organised by Messe Frankfurt Middle East, the annual trade show has served as the region’s hub for lighting and building technology for two decades. Abdul Muhsin, Event Director, said the milestone edition reflects an industry moving towards connected, experience-driven spaces and integrated, energy-efficient ecosystems.

Heavy capital spending across the GCC on smart urban infrastructure, hospitality, entertainment, retail and mixed-use communities is driving demand for such integrated solutions. The three-day show will link global solution providers with specifiers, project developers and decision makers across the Middle East and Africa.

Co-located with Intersec Global, the 2027 edition will cover sectors including Smart Home and Building Automation, Architectural, Technical and Decorative Lighting, and Electrical Engineering. Exhibits will range from IoT and energy management to building management systems and next-generation controls.

A conference programme will run on all three days. THINKLIGHT will examine lighting design through real-world projects, while the Smart Building Summit will bring together executives shaping greener, more connected buildings. The InSpotlight Stage will host product launches and the live final judging for the Light Middle East Awards 2027 Product of the Year.

Nathan Waugh, Portfolio Director, Security, Technology and Production at Messe Frankfurt Middle East, said the show acts as a strategic bridge between innovation and opportunity, giving manufacturers direct access to the developers and consultants behind major regional projects.
