Dubai International Chamber has launched a new representative office in Luanda, Angola, marking its eighth on the African continent and signaling deepening economic ties between Dubai and one of Africa's fastest growing markets.

The office, opened under the umbrella of Dubai Chambers, aims to unlock fresh opportunities for cooperation between Dubai based companies and their Angolan counterparts. It was inaugurated in the presence of Salem Ali Al Shamsi, UAE Ambassador to Angola, alongside local government officials and business leaders.

Salem AlShamsi, Executive Vice President of International Relations at Dubai Chambers, said the new office reflects a broader commitment to strengthening economic relations and creating new channels for collaboration between the two business communities. He noted that the move would help increase bilateral trade and investment flows while reinforcing Dubai's role as a global business hub and gateway to high potential markets.

The timing reflects a period of strong momentum in Dubai Angola trade relations. Non-oil trade between the two grew 47.5 percent year on year, reaching AED11.6 billion in 2025. By the end of March 2026, 87 Angolan companies had registered as active members of Dubai Chamber of Commerce.

The Luanda office will work directly with Angolan public and private sector stakeholders to promote Dubai's advantages as a business destination, while offering market intelligence to help Angolan firms expand into the emirate. It will also assist Dubai companies looking to enter Angola, connecting them with trusted local partners and identifying promising investment opportunities.

The launch is part of the wider Dubai Global initiative, which aims to establish 50 representative offices worldwide by 2030 and support the expansion of Dubai companies into 30 priority global markets.
