Dubai has launched its first-ever Dubai-it Award, opening nominations from 10th August to 10th September 2026 for individuals, projects, companies and institutions that embody the emirate's philosophy of turning bold ideas into swift, tangible achievement.

The initiative stems from the vision of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, who introduced Dubai-it as a reflection of the city's approach to action: saying what is done and doing what is said. The award itself was launched under directives from His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai and Chairman of The Executive Council of Dubai.

Mohammad Abdullah Al Gergawi, Chairman of The Executive Office of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, described the award as a platform to keep Dubai's philosophy of action visible and moving forward, spotlighting those who lead, build and deliver results with speed and distinction.

The award covers three segments: Individuals, Projects, and Institutions & Companies, spanning ten fields including Government, Real Estate, Economy, Business, Technology, Sports, Society, Education, Services and Health. Nominees are judged against criteria such as exceptional achievement, execution quality, delivery speed, tangible impact and sustainability.

For this inaugural edition, eligible achievements must have been delivered within the past four years; from the second edition onward, the window narrows to 24 months. Nominations, including supporting evidence such as data, reports and media materials, can be submitted through the award's digital platform at www.dubai-it.ae, either by individuals themselves or by companies and organisations on their behalf.

Running as an annual cycle from September to May, the award aims to document and celebrate achievements that reflect Dubai's drive for ambition, excellence and rapid delivery across the city's key sectors.
