The Mohammed bin Rashid Centre for Leadership Development (MBRCLD) has signed two agreements with Seoul National University and Peking University to launch a new series of Dubai Leadership Research, drawing on the leadership and management experience of Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai.
H.H. Sheikha Latifa bint Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Chairperson of Dubai Culture and Arts Authority, witnessed the signing of the two memoranda of understanding during the Mohammed bin Rashid Leadership Forum. Organised by MBRCLD, the annual gathering brought together 1,000 senior figures from Dubai’s government and private sectors.
Saeed Al Eter, Director-General of The Executive Office, signed on behalf of MBRCLD. Professor Jun-Ki Kim, Executive Vice President of Seoul National University, and Professor Young Joon Park, Associate Dean of Peking University HSBC Business School, signed for the universities.
The research is designed for MBA and executive education programmes, and the Dubai case study will be built into the curricula at both institutions. It will be published through The Case Centre, which reaches more than 500 business schools in over 90 countries, and in Harvard Business Review, which has more than 10 million readers.
Mohammad bin Abdullah Al Gergawi, Chairman of MBRCLD, said Dubai has become a global model of development built on innovation, initiative and decisive decision-making. He added that the series supports the Centre’s mission to advance leadership thought and strengthen the UAE’s position across key sectors.
Professor Kim said the partnership would help develop practices that improve government efficiency and prepare leaders to respond to global change. Professor Park said it would support specialised initiatives for business leaders in the UAE and China, with benefits extending to institutions worldwide.
