Dubai Municipality has completed more than 107 projects worth a combined AED1.6 billion in 2026, expanding the city’s public spaces and community facilities.

The projects were delivered by the Municipality’s Public Facilities Agency and span public parks, beaches, neighbourhood beautification, landscaping and community facilities. Highlights include Al Mamzar Beaches, Hewi Dubai in Nad Al Sheba, new neighbourhood parks, social neighbourhood Majlis and development work in Dubai’s countryside and rural areas. The Agency also built educational, social and community infrastructure for other government entities.

Public beaches took the largest share of investment at 36 percent, followed by city beautification, landscaping and agriculture projects at 22 percent.

The Agency says it is linking planning, design, construction and operations so that public investment keeps delivering value across the life of each facility. Community feedback, visitor insights and operational data are being used to shape design and improvements, alongside innovative construction solutions and more efficient delivery processes.

Bader Anwahi, CEO of the Public Facilities Agency, said the value of public infrastructure is measured by how it improves everyday life as well as by what is built. He said the Agency is also widening its role beyond parks and recreational destinations by helping other government entities deliver essential infrastructure.

The Agency has also created more than 100 investment opportunities across public facilities, including some aimed at small and medium-sized enterprises. The goal is to bring more private-sector participation to public destinations through commercial and service offerings.

The work supports the Dubai Quality of Life Strategy 2033, the Dubai 2040 Urban Master Plan and the Dubai Economic Agenda, D33.
