Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has adopted “From Vision to Impact” as the theme of the 12th Dubai International Project Management Forum (DIPMF), which will run from January 10 to 13, 2027.

The event is held under the patronage of Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Defence and Chairman of The Executive Council of Dubai. It is co-organised with Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA), Emaar Properties and the Project Management Institute (PMI), and will bring together government leaders, business executives and project management experts from the UAE and abroad.

This year’s programme covers four main themes and 12 sub-topics. Future Trends and Technology looks at digital transformation, innovation and data-driven decision-making. Sustainable Communities focuses on smart cities, resilient infrastructure and social and economic sustainability. The Future of Project Management explores automation, artificial intelligence and agile approaches, while Business Continuity addresses risk anticipation, crisis readiness and leadership.

Mattar Al Tayer, Director-General and Chairman of the Board of Executive Directors of the RTA, said the theme reflects Dubai’s approach to delivery, built on clear vision, sound planning, swift execution and measuring the impact of projects on people’s lives. He said the themes emerged from a workshop involving government and private sector representatives, academia and project management specialists.

Since its launch in 2014, the forum’s 11 previous editions have drawn more than 25,000 participants and over 450 speakers. Al Tayer said the 12th edition marks a shift from anticipating global transformations to helping shape them.
